摘要
This paper reports on the process o research/creation of the musical work(s) "Two Pieces for Clarinet and for Piano", composed during the advanced composition course at the Dartington International Summer School (Devon, England) on July 2004. The peculiarity of the piece(s) lies in that the composer still doubts, many years after their composition and premiere, whether they are two separate solo pieces that can be played simultaneously or a single duet piece: his idea and inspiration for the piece indicate that it is only one piece, but its formal analysis and deconstruction point to two separate pieces. Interesting tensions arise between theory and practice, between understanding the composition as construction or as inspiration, between the the work of the creative mind and intuition, immediate perception and background, and between the source of the pieces and their destination or presentation, etc.
