SOUND PULSES GENERATION IN ATMOSPHERE BY MOVING LIGHT-BEAMS

摘要：
Under absorption of light beams in the air sound pulses are generated. It is shown that the pulse amplitude in a point of observation at a large distance from the light beam is maximum, when velocity of this distance change is equal to sound velocity. If this conditions is satisfied, the amplitude of sound pulse is proportional to the whole energy absorbed during the time of light radiation action. The shape of sound pulse does not depend from temporal modulation of light intensity. It is determined by spatial distribution of energy in a light deam.
