摘要：

Christian ethics undergirds Western historical development, society and culture. It provides the moral basic for social services and the helping professions on the one hand, while shaping the mores of social life and private behavior on the other. Christian ethics has truly impacted mainstream culture in Europe and North America. In the Chinese context, social structures are undergoing change as well. But given that society is largely non-Christian, the key challenge is how to develop moral foundations for our social services and helping professions.
