摘要
The effects of various geometric conditions and densities of analyte and standard samples in neutron activation analysis have been considered. Differences in the geometric conditions at the irradiation and measurement stages are accounted for by the correction factor K-geom, which is determined experimentally for a specified type of cartridge. The factor Kd that accounts for the difference in densities of the analyte and standard sample is estimated from the volume efficiency for a concrete detector (specifically, of the DGDK-50A type). The use of correction factors improves the efficiency of neutron activation analysis.
