摘要
The purpose of the present article is to encourage reflection on the latest researches about burnout process in teachers, under Bandura's Social Cognitive Theory that, considering the individual's self- regulatory and self-evaluative capabilities, makes it possible to draw an interrelation between labor activities and the process of becoming ill. The reviews of the referred articles bring about the necessity of searching for theoreticalempirical possibilities between labor activities and the individual believes about them. The Social- cognitive theory points at an explanatory-interventive proposal and it has been systematically investigated during the doctors program developed at UNICAMP by Ferreira, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Roberta Azzi.
