摘要
In this essay is examined Mexico's macroeconomic development throughout the porfirist period. The strengthening of the Nation-State during this stage and the increasing participation of Mexico in the international division of labour contributed to the consolidation of a complex system of production and organization, as well as the set up of global enterprises which capitalization and administration required national and foreign investment, conditions that determined the modification of labour relations. The imperialist expansion of the developed countries gave a boost to the intensification of foreign commercial interchange, likewise the application of a flexible tax policy, massive flows of foreign capital and the progress in productive, commercial and service sectors. These changes allowed Mexico to pass into an economical transformation corresponding to the pattern of capitalist accumulation in the second half of nineteenth century and also get into the global market as a significant exporter.
