LOSSLESS TRANSFORMATION OF COHERENT-LIGHT INTO AMPLITUDE-SQUEEZED LIGHT

摘要
We show that the use of weakly probed three-level atoms in the LAMBDA configuration as a nonlinear medium inside an optical cavity enables the almost lossless transformation of an incoming strong coherent light beam into an outgoing amplitude-squeezed light beam.
