Crossbite in primary dentition. An indication for manual medicine?

Early treatment of unilateral crossbite is an interdisciplinary task. The indication and options for therapy are discussed on the basis of a case report. It is assumed that the development of crossbite in primary dentition is part of a functional system disorder with secondary morphological fixation. Crossbite in childhood is often combined with other sensomotor abnormalities. The interdisciplinary intervention by manual medicine as well as logopedic and orthodontic treatment can effectively reduced the time of therapy.
