摘要：
A new method is proposed for estimating the toxicity of sewage, natural water, and solutions of chemical substances from the extent to which chloroplast phototaxis is inhibited in fronds of Lemna minor L. In comparison with existing methods employing duckweed for biological testing of pollution, the proposed method requires less time and in a number of cases is more sensitive.
