ENERGY-DISTRIBUTIONS OF OXYGEN IONS DESORBED FROM CO-COVERED AND NO-COVERED NICKEL

摘要
Kinetic energy distributions of oxygen ions desorbed from CO- and NO-covered Ni(110) surfaces have been investigated by means of time-of-flight electron-stimulated desorption spectroscopy (TOF-ESD) at various primary electron energies ranging from 200 to 900 eV. Those distributions are separable into several components being ascribed to different desorption processes. The energy distributions of O+ from adsorbed NO had higher peak energies and broader distributions than those from CO.
