摘要
This contribution shows the influence of embryo transfer and multiplying of cell nucleus on the development of breeding programmes for dairy cattle. For populations of high size, production of young dams of bulls using MOET is shown, while for populations of small size the entire MOET-nucleus program may be an efficient approach. When major or marker genes are available, molecular genetic methods will result in marker assisted selection (MAS). First successful results in cattle and swine breeding programmes are discussed.
