摘要
Traditional criticisms of Al focus on its inability to represent skills and common sense. Feminist epistemology can be used both to support and to extend these arguments in two main directions, both of which have links to other philosophical or sociological traditions. The first direction focuses on the knowing subject, while the second is concerned with the distinction between ''knowing that'' and ''knowing how'', or the propositional/skills distinction. The Cyc system is used as an example with which to explore these ideas.
