GLUCOAMYLASE PRODUCTION BY SEMICONTINUOUS CULTIVATION OF ASPERGILLUS-AWAMORI NRRL 3112

摘要
A series of semicontinuous cultivations of Aspergillus awamori NRRL 3112 were performed in 10-liter fermenters, employing cassava flour as the main carbon source. Initial polysaccharide concentrations of 20, 40 and 50 g/l, and harvest fractions of 25, 50 and 75% (v/v) of the total liquid volume, were investigated. The results indicate the possibility of obtaining glycoamylase productivities of about twice the values obtained in the batch cultivation.
