PROFILE OF LECTURER IN ACCOUNTING: PERSPECTIVE OF A QUALIFICATION ACADEMIC, EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL

摘要
A teaching qualification has been investigated in the scientific field under many different approaches. In the present study aimed to identify the profile in terms of academic, educational and professional qualifications of teachers of courses in Accounting from three public institutions of higher education in the Rio Grande do Sul; the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande, the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul and Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. How to approach the problem the study is classified as quantitative, about the objectives, exploratory and descriptive. The sample consisted of 54 lattes curricula faculty members who taught classes in Accounting course of the three Universities. The results showed that: in relation to the academic qualifications, the majority of faculty from the three institutions had the necessary teaching skills according to the consulted bibliography; regarding teacher training a few teachers who had taken any complementary course in the pedagogical area along the career and vocational training as at least half of the teachers from the three institutions had acted in the labor market in some accounting area for at-observed least two years. Overall, the findings of this research indicate that we still need to invest in ancillary skills, especially in academic and educational fields.
