Statement of the problem. The growing numbers of computational technology of data-processing institutions caused lack of energy and insufficiently effective conditioning systems with a high density of IT-equipment. In existing institutions there is hardly an opportunity to change the location of IT-equipment to cause no disruptions to businesses. Therefore the architecture of air conditioning in the halls can be considered only as an optimal location of the conditioning systems. It is thus necessary to develop a method of locating conditioning coils for these institutions to use the power potential of conditioning systems and provide a designed temperature mode for IT-equipment. Results. In order to study the connection between the asymmetry of the temperatures of air flows and laws of the connection of the location of conditioners with the temperature inequality, the experiment was carried out based on physical modelling. The numerical models of hydrodynamics of data centers were developed to enable the assessment of the efficiency of cooling of IT-equipment in different locations of the output exhaust air. Conclusions. The method was set forth of the location of input air coils in specified sites. The viability of the method was proven by its successful introduction into production.
