Food and feeding habits of a weed fish, Puntius conchonius (Ham.) was studied for two years (1990-1991). During investigation it was found that Phytoplankton including diatoms formed the main bulk (85.56%) of food in adults whereas, preference for Zooplankton was more in juveniles. Feeding was moderately intensive from April to June and again from October to December. Extremely poor feeding was observed from January to March.
