Two acanthosis nigricans cases are described. A male patient, aged 41, suffered from a benign form of the condition since childhood. The examinations has not detected visceral neoplasms. He feels well, works in a mine. A female patient, aged 16, developed a malignant condition. She was hospitalized when suffering from the disease for the seventh month. Examinations have revealed disseminated eruptions on the skin and mucosa but no visceral neoplasms. The patient died in 2.5 months with cachexia symptoms. No autopsy was carried out.
