摘要
We calculate the minijet contribution to a variety of total inelastic cross sections using perturbative QCD. We concentrate specifically on photon-induced minijets but our analysis and main conclusions apply equally well to hadronic minijet calculations. We examine in detail the sensitivity to the various input parameters including a discussion of the choice of input parton structure functions. The importance of correctly including the possibility of multiple hard scattering is stressed.
