STRUCTURAL RELAXATION AND EQUILIBRIUM FREE-VOLUME IN AMORPHOUS PD40NI40P20

摘要
Isothermal measurements of the change of Young's modulus during structural relaxation of amorphous Pd40Ni40P20 are presented. The results are analysed in terms of the mixed model that distinguishes between Chemical (CSRO) and Topological Short Range Ordering (TSRO). Since PdNiP metallic glasses are relatively stable, it is possible to during isothermal annealing at temperatures close to the glass transition temperature. The Young's modulus measurements show these equilibria. The shape of the isothermal experimental curves can be quantitatively described in terms of the above mentioned model. © 1990.
