摘要：

Hong Kong is a world famous metropolis with GNP per capita at over HK $ 210,000 in 2004 despite the devastating economic effect of SARS. However, there are over 450,000 who live under the poverty line in the city, with monthly spending less than 4,000. This essay attempts to look at the problem of poverty in Hong Kong and discuss how the Church in Hong Kong may respond.
