Relationship between personality, self-construal, the need for affect and action identification in high school students

摘要
Personality is one of the important domains of psychology, and it is deal with organized traits which are emotional, cognitive, social. Kagitcibasi's model suggests that self-divided as autonomy, relatedness, and autonomous-related self in Turkish cultural context. Action identification is how people identificate their action. The need for affect is defined as general motivation level of people for participate in or flee form situations and activities contain affect. The aim of this study is to examine whether self-types, the need for affect, and action identification are predict personality. The research group consisted of 335 (50,9% female 49,1% male) high school students. To collect data, the personality, self, the need for affect and action identification scales were used. We used regression analysis in order to determine the predictors of personality. The results of this study indicated that self-types, the need for affect, and action identification significantly predict personality.
