Friendship and love in Seneca's Moral Epistles

We took up the decision to include in the same piece of work both friendship and love subjets due to historical reasons, given the well-known ambiguity which is found in the primitive Greek philosophers and also to acknowledge Seneca's particular position. That led us to try to encode his thought on friendship and love in relation to Aristotle and Cicero. Therefore we tried to prove that Seneca joins new ideas, such as solidarity, asociation or society to friendship concept and even to his love concept, and provides them with a new view. All that led us to conclude that Seneca's definition of friendship is very positive and afirmative unlike the negative one proposed in different research studies. Furthermore, Seneca includes both slavery and poverty concepts.
