Empirical Reality of Students' Communicative-Speech Styles

摘要
The article is focused on the results of theoretical and empirical study of communicative speech styles of the students. The issues of communicative speech styles are analyzed in four dimensions: interpersonal interaction, communicative speech competence, cognitive styles and communication styles have been analyzed. The main theoretical approaches to each of these dimensions have been reviewed The percentage distribution of students on three levels (low, medium, high) of each communicative-speech style (direct ,indirect, elaborate, succinct, personal, contextual, instrumental, affective) have been graphically shown. The domination of medium level of all styles has been indicated. It means the moderate symptoms of such characteristics as individualism, collectivism, focus on the sender or recipient of the message, role identity, rich, expressive speech or brevity, the sense of distance in the communicative process.
