摘要
The Cox proportional hazards (PH) model is the popular method for modelling censored survival data. The fundamental assumption of the Cox PH model is the proportionality of hazards in which the hazard ratio is linear in the covariates. However this assumption may not hold in some survival studies. Therefore, different non-parametric regression methods have been proposed to estimate the hazard ratio as a function of time when the proportionality of hazards can not be assumed. In this study a piecewise model and a non-parametric regression spline model have been considered for the non-proportional hazards. The models have been illustrated with kidney transplant data..
