摘要：

A ultrasonographic study was performed on a woman, 20 years old, II gestation and 22 weeks of pregnancy. This study showed that the fetal abdominal wall had a defect that permitted the bowel evisceration. There was spontaneous interruption of pregnancy and the external fetal study permitted to corroborate the anomalies observed: an abdominal wall defect; therefore, the liver and the bowel were prolapsed at the right side of the defect. The bowel loops were edematous and covered by a fibrous coating. A high proportion of abdominal wall defects are associated with other malformations, syndromes or chromosomal alterations.
