H-1 AND C-13 NMR-STUDY OF CATALYTIC REACTION BETWEEN CH3OH AND H2S

摘要
The results of H-1 and C-13 NMR as well as kinetic studies of the reaction between CH3OH and H2S over a number of solid catalysts (SiO2, H3PO4/SiO2, NaX, NaY and H-ZSM-5 zeolites) are presented. The adsorbed methanol forms methoxy groups on H3PO4/SiO2 and presumably on H-ZSM-5 catalysts while for SiO2, NaX and NaY only physically adsorbed methanol molecules are found on the catalyst surface. The H-1 and C-13 NMR spectra in combination with the kinetic data indicate that the adsorbed. CH3OH reacts with SH- species and H2S molecules, the former being more reactive.
