Human bite - A rare case report

Human bites are the third most common bite injuries following dog and cat bites. Human bites of the face are seemingly innocuous and mainly due to social conflicts. Although generally considered to be highly contaminated they can be successfully managed by wound debridement and primary closure with a favorable outcome. We herewith present a rare case report of lower lip human bite due to interpersonal violence in a 35 year old male who was treated with early wound debridement and successful primary closure with 12 months follow up.
