STUDY OF THE ELECTRIC STRENGTH OF THE INSULATING BRACKET OF HIGH-VOLTAGE OVERHEAD POWER-LINES

摘要：
In design of lines with no ground return wire and when the length of insulator strings is reduced by low limitation of overvoltages or change of the type of insulator, it is necessary to have data on the electric strength of insulator strings when the weather is stormy. The results of research on the electric strength of the free insulating suspension of conductors are given. The suspension includes the bundled conductor proper, the supporting insulator string and the tower truss. The effect of various structural elements of the suspension on line discharge characteristics is investigated.
