PREGELATINIZED STARCHES IN WET GRANULATION EXPERIMENTAL-DESIGN AND DATA-ANALYSIS .2. CASE OF TABLETS

In the first part of this work, the influence of two pregelatinized starches (Primogel and Starx 1500) on galenical and rheological properties of paracetamol granules was studied. For this study, the simple experience plane of Woolfall using two concentrations levels and two mixing times was used. The tablets obtained from these granules have shown that a low concentration of Primogel gives the best results. It is believed that an optimized formulation depends on certain concentrations of pregelatinized starches and on mixing time.
