摘要
A new method for the determination of the contact angle of a liquid against spherical powder particles is described. The powder, which should have a density greater than the liquid, is deposited on the liquid surface in a centrifuge tube. During centrifugation, the floating particles are pulled into the liquid. The contact angle is obtained from the minimum centrifugal force required to pull the particles completely through the interface. With glass powders floating on water, realistic and reproducible values of the contact angle have been obtained. © 1990.
