摘要
The project "Fontes Slavia Orthodoxa", organized by the Eastern European Research Centre at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland, together with the Centre for the Study of the Church Slavonic Language of the Vinogradov Russian Language Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, aims to publish materials on the history and culture of Orthodoxy in the Slavic countries, intra- and inter-confessional polemics, history and the contemporary state of the Church Slavonic language. The monographs are addressed to historians, religious scholars, cultural studies researchers, philologists, linguists, as well as to those interested in Orthodox history and culture. An absolute advantage of both monographs is a broad understanding of the phenomenon of Orthodox culture and the variety of its facets presented: features of liturgical texts, iconography and singing, the art of book miniatures; biographies of individuals who contributed to the development of Orthodox culture; problems of constant coexistence and rivalry of traditions and innovations. Significantly, the studies show the history and culture of not only the official Orthodoxy, but also the Old Believers and Edinoverie, without which the image of the Orthodox world would not be complete. The relevance, novelty and topicality of the presented material is emphasised. The books are recommended for reading. The opinion of the authors that the publication of this series is intended to promote the intensification of interdisciplinary research in the field of history, culture, philosophical and dogmatic traditions of Orthodoxy and Christianity in general is shared.
