摘要
The process of the Buenos Aires south frontier expansion over indigenous groups during the 17(th) and 18(th) Century is analyzed taking into account the recognition of caciques amigos (chiefs who became friends), their lands of origin and adoption and also the spaces they preferred when moving from the inner land to the city. In this period, there is evidence of two stages in the frontier expansion and we follow them for analytical purposes. The first reached the Salado River, and the second the Buenos Aires sierras, both stages were presented as ideal constructions of officials and neighbors, later on there will be attempts to settle defensive installations and militia forces in the above-mentioned frontier.
