THE COSTS OF URBAN GROWTH - some observations

This paper briefly discusses why resources spent in building and maintaining urban communities should be measured. It refers to studies of the cost density relationship of urban development and draws attention to the need for a more comprehensive approach to the question of urban costs, which takes into account the location of development in relation to the distribution of functions within the urban structure.
