摘要
Objective. To analyze the state of youth public policies in Latin America and the Caribbean in recent years, in relation with two fundamental elements: diversity and social inequalities. Methodology. The work is based on the results of a collective research on social inclusion public policies directed to young people that took place in 10 countries of the region (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras and Uruguay). This study was carried out by an interdisciplinary and international team within the framework of a project shared between UNESCO and CLACSO. Results and conclusions. Diversity and social inequalities are particularly important among young people. The article emphasizes the generational and intergenerational perspectives as components of the youth public policies showing the experiences that occurred in the region.
