摘要
The Hamiltonian of the one‐dimensional electron‐ion system is proposed. The relevant forces between electrons and ions are of the Coulomb‐type. Besides, the repulsive pseudopotential in the form of the delta‐function is included in the electron‐ion interaction. The stability of the system against lattice distortion is examined. The effects of the periodicity appear to strengthen the transition to the state with lattice distortion.
