摘要：
The rapid modernization of pulp and paper mills, introduction of activated sludge treatment, and pressure to reduce die use of chlorine gas in bleaching have resulted in a rapid decrease in discharges from Finnish pulp and paper mills. It appears that die tight targets set by the Finnish authorities for 1995 will be achieved by substantial investment in internal and external measures as well as by rapid changes in bleaching practice at kraft mills.
