摘要
A number of factors such as official information policy and availability of physical resources differentiate Third World bibliography from that of the first and second worlds. There are, moreover, substantial factors that differentiate the patterns of bibliography within the Third World itself, including culture, tradition, and the cult of personality. An examination of two types of documents indicates their relationship to governmental processes. An overview of the Asian, African, and Latin American regions provides a snapshot of expectations with regard to government publishing activity.
