SELF-ASSESSMENT AND DEVELOPMENTAL DIFFICULTIES IN CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS OF DIVORCED PARENTS

The present article discusses current views on the structure of the family institution and in particular on the divorce as prevalent in recent years. The article presents studies of different authors with a similar theme. The exhibition met with empirical research conducted on the topic during the months of April-May 2011. The subject of the discussion is the sum of 149 respondents with a questionnaire of R. Goodman, 20 persons tested with the test, "Who am I?" and 74 children studied drawing test "My family". The conclusions drawn are the most important psychological implications for practice, the deficits and the prospect of future research horizons. An attempt is made to derive guidelines for parents about how to educate children, so that could they grow confident. There are also presented other ways and means to prevent the negative effects of divorce on children through the work of family counselors and therapists in order to preserve the family.
