摘要
The strong absorbance of indocyanine green in a broad band around .lambda. = 800 nm invalidated the usual spectrophotometric 2-wavelength methods for measuring O2 saturation [in blood of humans and dogs] operating in the red and near infrared region. By proper wavelength selection the effect of the dye can be eliminated. With the 2-wavelength method utilizing .lambda. = 660 and 860 nm O2 saturation was measured virtually independent of the presence of indocyanine green.
