摘要
The consolidation drained shear tests for municipal solid waste (MSW) samples were conducted using large-scale triaxial apparatus: Based on the test results using traditional geotechnical concepts and methods, the shear strength mechanism of MSW is investigated. The shear strength properties of MSW related to large deformation mainly resulted from the reinforcing effect of fiber materials. The shear resistance of MSW includes friction function and tensile force provided by fiber materials. The friction strength of MSW is composed of three parts: the friction function between fiber phase and particle phase, the friction one between fiber phases, and the friction one between particle phases. Based on the shear strength property of MSW, the stress-strain curve is simulated by Duncan-Chang constitutive model.
