摘要
Objectives. Describing impact and features of Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) complications, illustrating clinical management of intra- and post-operatory complications and giving guidelines to reduce operative risks. Materials and methods. Description of the GBR complications classification and their therapeutical options. Finally three clinical cases with GBR complications. Results and conclusions. Following clinical protocols reduces complications impact and increases bone augmentation predictability. GBR protocols including clinical procedures, postoperative cares and healing time have been assessed with non-resorbable membranes. Non-resorbable membranes are widespreading due to their proven efficiency and limiting resorbable membranes only to specific cases.
