摘要
Allport's (1954) contact theory states that our stereotypical associations and biases will decrease as we get to know and understand the experiences of others through meaningful, equal status, and collaborative contact. Contact theory is particularly relevant to inclusive education settings and adapted physical activity, as it supports an equitable school culture, and forms the basis of awareness and education programs. This article examines the four components of contact theory, and offers theory to practice considerations.
