摘要
Formal methods have emerged as analytical points of view that allow checking systems development through logic and mathematics, providing significant benefits to improve the quality of programs, and therefore the Software Engineering. In this field of knowledge, formal specification is one of the most important life cycle stages, a task that requires great care because its function is to ensure that both the operational and program performance will be correct in any situation. In the future, formal methods should be present as essential principles in software development since they become the basis for applying the testing techniques and, because of its mathematical principle, they are potentially automatable.
