Formal Methods and Software Engineering

Formal methods have emerged as analytical points of view that allow checking systems development through logic and mathematics, providing significant benefits to improve the quality of programs, and therefore the Software Engineering. In this field of knowledge, formal specification is one of the most important life cycle stages, a task that requires great care because its function is to ensure that both the operational and program performance will be correct in any situation.
