摘要
The interest of this paper is to present the results of a theoretical research about management of high performance sport in Venezuela. Based on this goal, eleven subjects who exercise management functions in the hierarchical levels of the sport and organization were interviewed, some directors in the Ministry of Popular Power for Sport for the strategic level; some managers of sports federations and middle management of the ministry on the tactical level; and some provisions attached to sports and professional sports sciences federations coaches on the operational level; and finally, the stakeholders, who are linked to the subject as academics and researchers. The methodology involved conducting repeated depth interviews and participant observation, materialized under an introspective experiential approach, part of qualitative-interpretative and supported on the grounded theory paradigm. The results revealed that managerial action in high performance sport is exercised with weak academic training without a tight experience in the sport and with a little training, which affects the operation of administrative processes, which has led to results not consonant in the international level.
