The problem of the resistance of the Irreflejo to the reflection in Merleau-Ponty and Levinas

In this paper the indirect encounter between Merleau-Ponty and Levinas is exposed regarding the problem of the resistance of the inreflection to the reflection. At the same time, some critics to both authors are made to show a kind of significance that is born in that which resists the outer world: the "significances in otherness", that could maybe articulate a "rationality of the flowing sense of the world". Not without first propose to Merleau-Ponty and Levinas as critics of the modern reflexive rationality, at the point in which it is believed to be able of covering the essence of the real with the power of thought. Unlike this, both philosophers agree that, in the process of knowing the outer world, there is always an excess of being that can't be themeized, and that is what shows us the true meaning of reality.
