As is well known, the majority of communications engineering systems are powered from rectifiers. Practically each one of these contains power supply filters whose electrical circuit is not different from that of the LPF used in data transmission networks. However, inasmuch as power supply filters are developed by power engineering specialists, the filter design differs from the procedures used in developing filters for data transmission circuits. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate, using an actual example, the possibility of using the classic procedure of filters synthesis as applied to the design of power supply circuit filters.
