OPTICAL SIGNAL-PROCESSING

The optical processing of one-dimensional signals, such as range, velocity, accelerations, and angle in real time is discussed. The devices discussed are acoustooptical transducers, direction-of-arrival and frequency processors, space integrating correlators, folded spectrum and Spann correlates correlators, and the triple-product processor. Space integration versus time integration and accuracy are considered.
