Governance indicators and their relationship with green development in Peru

The objective of the research is to explore the governance indicators in relation to green development in Peru. Go-vernance indicators from the World Bank were used, specifically opting for three of them, Government Effectiveness(EG), Regulatory Quality (CR) and Corruption Control (CC); On the other hand, regarding green development,the indicators were CO2emissions (CO2), Mortality from PM2,5(PM2,5) and number of ISO 14001 Certifications(ISO14001). The results showed that there is a relationship between CR and ISO14001 with a Pearson coefficientof 0.79, EG and CO2 of 0.69, EG and PM2.5 of 0.75 and final ly CC with CO2 and PM2.5 of -0.60. and - 0.63respectively. It is concluded that the reduction of CC generates an increase in CO2emissions and PM2,5mortality,in addition, the CR and the EG have shown that establishing commitments improves environmental management with the adoption of management systems of good importance such as is ISO 14001.
