New State's capabilities for a transformed society. Institutions and health policies in the province of Santa Fe in the first half of the twentieth century

This paper explores the dynamics of transformation of health policies in the province of Santa Fe in the first half of the twentieth century, focusing on three moments: first, the previous context and the sanction of the law of health in 1932; secondly, the changes sustained in the second half of 1930 that would result in the creation of the Ministry of Health and Labour in 1941; and finally, the innovations projected from the federal intervention in 1943 and subsequent peronist governments. The aim is to give an account of some aspects of this process of transformation in local health policy, putting it in dialogue with the national level.
