ORGANIC-CARBON AND LIGNIN IN THE UPPER LAYER OF THE BOTTOM SEDIMENTS OF THE KANDALAKSHA GULF OF THE WHITE SEA

Data of the organic carbon and phenols distribution in the one or the largest gulfs of the White Sea - Kandalaksha gulf are presented. These measurements were carried out near Kandalaksha port. Our results show that the upper layer of the bottom sediments consists or the near shore zone anthropogenic phenols and organic carbon of high concentration. In general the properties of all sediments are usual (i. e. their chemical composition, quantity, etc.) that testifies an optimal ecological situation.
